W Chromosome

The level of water that is equally spread across the landscape which may be under of above ground. The water table exists under dry land, though when the altitude of the land decreases, the water table is close to the surface. If the level of the water table exceeds the altitude of the ground, then a lake will form.

The creation of a waterproof layer in nature, usually involving a layer of water repelling phospholipid molecules. An example of this is in waxy leaves in plants where water can easily run off them, this is an example of waterproofing via a waxy cuticle.

A measurement between two successive points of a wave, which can be used to measure things like light and sound. The wavelength of lights' visible to the human eye range from violet (400 nanometres) to red (750 nanometres).
